A year or 2 before setting up KKdh. i was selling human stuff online, ie clothes. storage solutions. it was doing pretty fine but i was kinda lonely :(

i tok to my parents about getting a dog (always make sure everyone in the household is willing to accept a new pet before getting one. had seen much to many of abandonment cases where someone else in the family aint too keen when u bring home a pet)

My parents agreed so i went 'shopping' for 1(i noe i always ask pple to adopt but y i din?) read on...............

Prior to that i got help my fren to take care of her schnauzer whenever shes out of town, so at the back of my mind schnauzers are already the decided

breed that i'll possibly get.

i shop around to find a one i like but i din manage to find any, in the meantime, as i was already adamant about getting a dog i must get ready what they need right? ie beds and stuff (always get ready and be mentally/physically prepared if ur gonna get 1) so in order to save cost........ i imported quite a few items from china.............. and in order to get it cheap, i ordered by bulk................. as i already had an online shop selling human stuff. it was easy peesy to set up 1 to sell those extra stuff i bought in bulk (THATS HOW KKDOGGIEHAVEN STARTED) 

so when the items arrived in singapore, i was all prepared to get my dog. so i went online and got 1. i met up with the seller and she brought two for me to choose. i cant bear to break them up so i got both(not a wise decision to get 2 litter mates at once) which i found out later.

they had plenty of powdery white stuff on them so i asked the seller and she said "oh i just put powder on them to make them smell better. which i later found out it was dandruff (probably due to unsanitary living conditions in puppy mills where puppies are merely money making tools :( 

on the first nite, kashie boy had a epilepsy fit! eyes closed! gritting his teeth and 

paddling away' gosh! did that scare the shit out of me! i sms the seller and told her that! she said if u dun like, can just return............... WTF u probably noe wat happens to puppies that cant be sold, either Put to sleep or used to breed more, which the puppies will have a higher chance of also having problems................ their dandruff and other health issues took a month or 2 to get rid off!

During that time i read up more on dogs and found out how meaningful adoption can be, and if more pple agree with me. there will be more and more puppy mills due to lower demands, forced to close down! Yippee! wont that be great! than there wouldnt be more of such cases of puppies getting neglected and left to grow up in poor conditions and minus the risk of them developing health problems.

As the seek of treatment did their toll on me. i neglected my online shop selling human stuff and gradually i closed down the shop as i wanna concentrate more on doggy stuff. as so i could be kept more to date with the'newest/best food/supplement/treats for them. at first they wake up thrice a night, as their small bellies cant hold much food so i had to wake up to prepare food for them and make sure they shhhsshhhh on the pee tray before going back to sleep. looking back. it was kinda tuff but that is where the bond between us were forged!

if i had read up more b4 that i would have chosen to adopt! so a yr down the rd, i adopted my 3rd dog.

i always believe that dogs deserve to live better, personally i make donations to animal welfare groups monthly (by doing good deeds i hope they can live a longer life too)haha thats my hidden motive too.

Just like helping an elderly person, i think im doing something similar, because to me, dogs are also a life and needs care too.

 

So, i just wannna end this with, Choose to adopt! , dun shop! Adopt and save a llfe
